Learn to Breastfeed 45-minute Class (in person or virtual)

This 45-minute virtual or in-person one-on-one class is designed for expectant parents!  Investment: $120 plus HST

Breastfeeding goes well when parents are feeling confident and supported. Research shows breastfeeding success is supported when parents are prepared. The best way to prepare is by taking a prenatal breastfeeding class and having support right after the birth.

As natural as it seems, breastfeeding is a learned behaviour. It can take time to learn how to breastfeed. A prenatal breastfeeding class can help you get ready before the baby arrives and introduce you to your Lactation Consultant! What you will learn: skills to latch, how skin-to-skin can make latching easier, how partners contribute to breastfeeding success and practical tools for them to be fully involved in the feeding process.

We will also review your goals and expectations, what your previous breastfeeding experience was (if applicable), concerns and fears and develop a plan of action for how to address specific concerns or challenges you may face post partum with a strong focus on reaching out for hands-on support after the birth.
